1619-2019: Commemorating 400 Years of Slavery in America
Simmons College of KY is Calling for This Historic Year to Be Commemorated in Two Ways:
Join the interfaith community and justice seekers across the nation for 40 Days of Prayer for the Liberation of American Descendants of Slavery, July 12, 2019 – August 20, 2019.
The 40 Days of Prayer will Culminate on August 20th. At 12 noon on August 20th, join the interfaith community and justice seekers across the nation to participate in a commemoration ceremony… for a time of reflection on where we’ve come from, where we are, and the new trajectory for the next 400 years.

The commemoration ceremony in Observance of 400 Years of Slavery in America, 1619-2019 is also available on Amazon.com, and at Barnes & Noble. (The commemoration ceremony book is the guide that will be followed by people across the nation as we gather together on August 20th).
